This blog has been dead for awhile, now. Anyway, earlier today – or last night, I supposed, I started watching an anime called Highschool of the Dead. It seemed like it would be one of those sci-fi/horror things, so I wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The series is actually quite good. I’m only on the third episode right now, but I can’t wait for the end. Instead of boring me, it kept me wanting more – which is rare with stuff like this.

I personally watch the English dubbed version, but that’s because I actually have an account at AnimeCrave. It’s worth the $5 monthly fee, especially since you don’t have to worry about the videos being dead since they’re hosted on the AnimeCrave server.

Post your opinions on the series in a comment. Just don’t say anything about voices, I only know the English ones.

There’s one thing that bugs me about fansites that only accept elite, top, and family sites for their affiliates:

It makes them seem like they only care about hits. How is that? Those are the types of affiliates that are on EVERY page. Sure, people will only visit if they are fans or if they wanna know who the celebrity is, but, think about it – it’s the most logical reason for someone to only accept elite and top. Sorry, but, do you really think this is going to help in the long run? Because it won’t. This doesn’t make you look like a dedicated fansite owner, it makes you look like a greedy little bastard that’s only making fansites in order to get hits/popularity. A dedicated fansite owner wouldn’t give a shit about how many hits they get because they make the fansites to satisfy themselves. A dedicated fansite owner will love every visitor their fansite gets, and they won’t beg for more. They’re happy with the visitors they have – or maybe that’s a passionate fansite owner?

If you only want hits, don’t bother with fansites – or at least least don’t bother with making a fansite of somebody really famous, chances are, there’s already a really dedicated fansite owner out there – and you don’t deserve the visitors you might take from them.

I think I’m getting addicted to this song. I only bought it on iTunes yesterday, too.

I need to make a new blog for one of my classes. I’ll still post here, though – because there, I have to censor myself, pretty much. I’d rather not censor myself here, since I’m paying $10 a year for the domain, so I’d rather start a new one for my class since my professor wants it to be school appropriate.

Don’t you dare lie and say you disagree!

I’m absolutely in love with this song. I’ve only heard the Glee cover, but I know it’s originally by Cyndi Lauper.

You with the sad eyes
Don’t be discouraged
Oh, I realize
It’s hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And darkness still inside you
Make you feel so small

But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors,
True colors, are beautiful,
Like a rainbow.

(Ah ah ah…)

Show me a smile then,
Don’t be unhappy,
Can’t remember when I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you’ve taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there

And I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors,
True colors, are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

Ah ah ah ah…

Spoken: Can’t remember when I last saw you laughing

If this world makes you crazy
You’ve taken all you can bear
You call me up (Call me up! )
Because you know I’ll be there (Know I’ll be there)

And I’ll see your true colors
Shining through (I see them shining through! )
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you (That’s why I love you! )
So don’t be afraid (Afraid) to let them show
Your true colors, true colors
I see your true colors shining through (Yeah! )
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid (Afraid) to let them show
Your true colors
True colors, true colors
True colors, are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

Why the hell is it freezing outside? We’re in Arizona! For us, 101°F is considered NICE weather. Right now, I’m sitting in a lecture hall that’s actually pretty warm…I’m actually dreading the end of class, for once. I don’t wanna go back out to the cold!

If you like yaoi, it’s great. If you like it when people rise above people who wrong them, it’s even better. It’s also good for music lovers.

Why? Because in this story, the lead singer of a fictional band called Bad Luck gets fired – despite the fact that he was the reason the band was popular as it was. He was the reason the band had real fans. And you know what? The fans in this fanfiction were smart – the majority of them, anyway – because they could see that without the lead singer, Bad Luck wasn’t really Bad Luck – they just used the name since two of the original three were still there.

However, to be honest, I can’t see the way it happened in the fanfiction – actually happening in canon. Hiro would have never agreed to fire Shuichi, and most likely would have left with him – he wouldn’t desert his best friend. Suguru probably would have quit if it happened while he knew about it – because he would have known that the band is nothing without Shuichi. Then, if that happened, the two people that “wanted” to fire him wouldn’t really have been able to call themselves Bad Luck.
